Employer Name: White Buffalo Treatment Centre Inc
We are expanding our services by recruiting an Outreach Coordinator to promote White Buffalo Treatment Centres services, support youth referrals, and build relationships with First Nations communities and referral agencies. The position coordinates intake, follow-up, and connections to supports for at-risk youth.
Responsibilities- Delivering presentations, workshops, tours, and educational sessions about WBTC services and substance-use issues.
- Responding to inquiries and maintaining relationships with communities and referral agencies.
- Coordinating applications, interviews, wait lists, and admission information.
- Conducting preliminary assessments and identifying barriers to participation or safety.
- Supporting referrals to WBTC or other programs.
- Completing client follow-up and assisting with aftercare planning.
- Maintaining client records, statistics, and reports.
- Coordinating with families, referral agents, community workers, schools, Elders, and clinical staff.
- Assisting with transportation, cultural and recreational events, and client-support activities.
- Travelling to communities, including fly-in locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Certificate or diploma in social work, psychology, education, human services, or a related field with three years of experience.
- Bachelors degree in a related field with one year of experience.
- Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and report-writing skills.
- Experience working with at-risk youth.
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- First Aid/CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification are required.
- Knowledge of First Nations culture and language is an asset.
Pay: $23.97 - $28.89 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.4:00 p.m.
