Build Up Saskatoon (BUS) is Quint Development's construction social enterprise. We support individuals facing barriers to employment including justice involvement, housing insecurity, limited work experience, and other life challenges by providing meaningful work experience, skill development and individualized support.
As our Outreach Support Worker, you'll build trusting relationships with participants, help them overcome personal and employment barriers, and connect them with the resources they need to succeed both during and after the program.
Responsibilities
Support participant hiring, onboarding and intake.
Help participants identify goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
Provide coaching, encouragement and accountability while helping participants navigate barriers.
Connect participants with community resources, education and training opportunities.
Coordinate certifications, tickets and skill development.
Maintain accurate case files and participant documentation.
Develop transition plans for employment, education or other community supports.
Build strong relationships with community agencies and stakeholders.
Provide occasional transportation for participants.

Passionate about helping people succeed.
Qualifications
Experience in human or social services.
Knowledge of poverty, systemic barriers and community resources.
Familiarity with Harm Reduction principles.
Related post-secondary education is an asset.
Conditions of Employment
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
