Living Sky School Division No. 202 is seeking a temporary School Counsellor, engaged part-time from August 26, 2026, until January 29, 2027. This role focuses on providing essential counselling services to students, addressing mental health and emotional challenges, and building preventive strategies. You will work collaboratively with educational teams and community partners to ensure all students thrive in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver responsive counselling support for individuals and groups.
• Facilitate initiatives for student well-being and resilience.
• Support schools tackling behavioural and emotional issues.
• Partner with families and agencies supporting student success.
• Participate in crisis responses and urgent situations.
Requirements:
• Must adhere to Alberta’s school counsellor qualifications.
• Relevant educational counselling experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dedication to a safe and inclusive educational setting.
• Promote positive mental health initiatives in schools.
