The Direct Support Worker role is essential in providing a secure and supportive setting for youth facing various challenges at Bethany Home. You'll be responsible for helping residents reintegrate into the community while managing potential crises and offering counseling. Ensuring compliance with program standards and maintaining a nurturing environment are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address the psychological and emotional needs of residents
• Maintain clear communication with social service stakeholders
• Document residents' activities and progress effectively
• Prepare nutritious meals and uphold kitchen standards
• Assist in case management and resource allocation
Requirements:
• Diploma in relevant social service area preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in related field
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing challenging youth behaviors
