Position: Compassionate Shelter Worker Role
Become a Housing Focused Shelter Worker with The Mustard Seed in Saskatoon, providing essential support to community members in need. This part-time role focuses on crisis intervention and participant assistance.

In this permanent part-time position, you will work Friday to Monday under the Shelter Manager's leadership. Your efforts will address immediate needs, enforce shelter standards, and foster a rehabilitative environment. Building relationships with participants is essential for encouraging their journey toward stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respectful service as the initial contact

• Mediate conflicts and enforce shelter expectations

• Keep the shelter safe and welcoming for all

• Facilitate meal programs and daily operations

• Use case management tools for client support

Requirements:

• At least 1 year experience with vulnerable populations

• Educational background in Human Services or related fields

• Strong writing and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with Indigenous culture is an advantage

• Ability to navigate challenging environments professionally
