- EGADZ recruits Casual Youth Workers within our Drop-in Centre. The Youth Worker is responsible for daily operations of the Drop-in Centre and assisting the youth who access the facility.

Build trusting relations with youth, advocate, and provide immediate services including nutrition, clothing, and referrals for issues requiring assistance.

Organize and participate in sport, recreation, and cultural activities with youth both in the Centre and in the community.

• Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies; maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
• Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in oral and written form
• Working knowledge of computers/windows
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and issues
• Post‑secondary education in administration, equivalent experience or a combination of both
• Must have an experienced driver’s license reflecting a safe driving record – a Driver's Abstract is required (within 3 months)
• Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector (within 6 months)

Starting wage $21.58 per hour. Pension and Health Benefit Program.
