The Ministry of Community Safety is seeking dedicated individuals for a Permanent Part-Time Facility Youth Worker opportunity at Kilburn Hall Youth Centre. This role offers the opportunity to support youth rehabilitation, promote positive change, and contribute to safer communities while maintaining a safe and secure facility environment. Successful candidates will complete a paid 11-week Induction Training Program.
The ministry is looking for accountable, adaptable, and inclusive individuals with strong judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Candidates must be able to work effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds and support positive behavioural change.
Required qualifications include knowledge of the Canadian criminal justice system, human behaviour, risk assessment, and intervention strategies. Candidates must have a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence (or equivalent), valid First Aid and CPR/AED certification, and education in social sciences, law enforcement, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of youth offenders, providing assessment, counselling, case management and program delivery, supporting rehabilitation efforts, assessing risk, and responding to incidents.
