Position: Affirm Machine Learning Engineer – Fraud Focus
Revolutionize fraud detection strategies with Affirm as a Machine Learning Engineer II. This remote role integrates advanced machine learning techniques to enhance transaction security and user experience.

As part of the ML Fraud team, your contributions will include developing prediction models and integrating advanced features into real-time decision systems. You’ll apply your skills in Python, distributed data processing, and ML lifecycle tooling while collaborating with various teams to communicate insights effectively. Your two-plus years of experience or relevant PhD will be key in this impactful position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and refine fraud detection models

• Collaborate to build and scale features

• Prototype and test new modeling strategies

• Ensure model reliability and production integration

• Instrument model health and define workflows

Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant machine learning experience

• Skilled Python coder and team collaborator

• Experienced with decision trees like LightGBM

• Familiar with deep learning frameworks, preferably Py Torch

• Knowledge of ML orchestration tools like Airflow
