Sask Polytech – Volleyball Coach

Volleyball Coach for Sask Polytech’s Men’s and Women’s Amaruk Volleyball Teams
Positions: Volleyball Coach (1) Men’s Team Coach and (1) Women’s Team Coach
Location: Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Saskatoon Campus
Position Overview:
The Volleyball Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, leading practices, and coaching during games. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, promote sportsmanship, and help student-athletes balance academic and athletic commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct regular practices and training sessions for both the Men’s and Women’s teams.Develop game strategies and coach during competitions.Mentor and motivate student-athletes to achieve their full potential.Collaborate with the Athletics Department to ensure compliance with institutional and league policies.Organize team meetings, travel arrangements, and game schedules.Promote a culture of academic excellence and personal growth among team members.Attend coaching development opportunities to stay current with volleyball trends and techniques.Qualifications:
Required: NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Level 1 Volleyball certification.Required: Vulnerable Sector Check (must be completed prior to hiring).Previous coaching experience at the post-secondary, club, or high school level.Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Passion for student-athlete development and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment.Honorarium provided.
