Ready Mix Driver; Langham

ABOUT THE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to job sites for homeowners and industry clients. In this role you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a friendly attitude to ensure customers receive high-level delivery and product from Amrize. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly qualified approach.
WHATYOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
- Maintain equipment by doing daily pre- and post-trip inspections, keeping equipment clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography and own their satisfaction at all times.
- Deliver consistent and reliable customer service, providing customers with a positive, hassle-free experience.
- Maintain strong working relationships with logistics, operations teams, and fellow operators.
- Participate in the Amrize Ready Mix Training Program.
- Operate electronic devices (tablets, GPS, etc.).
- Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments, promoting a culture of safety.
- Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent. - Required work experience:
Minimum 1 year of related experience, preference for those with construction and heavy equipment experience. - Required training/certifications:
Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver’s abstract required.
- Have a flexible schedule; may require different shifts and weekend work.
- Be able to lift >50 lbs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Perform tasks on electronic devices such as tablets.
- Relationship-building with external customers and internal Amrize personnel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid sense of teamwork.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators; employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
