Ready Mix Driver; Langham

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to job sites for homeowners and industry clients. In this role you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a friendly attitude to ensure customers receive high-level delivery and product from Amrize. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly qualified approach.

• Maintain equipment by doing daily pre- and post-trip inspections, keeping equipment clean inside and out.
• Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography and own their satisfaction at all times.
• Deliver consistent and reliable customer service, providing customers with a positive, hassle-free experience.
• Maintain strong working relationships with logistics, operations teams, and fellow operators.
• Participate in the Amrize Ready Mix Training Program.
• Operate electronic devices (tablets, GPS, etc.).
• Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments, promoting a culture of safety.

• Education:
  
  Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Required work experience:
  Minimum 1 year of related experience, preference for those with construction and heavy equipment experience.
• Required training/certifications:
  Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver’s abstract required.

• Have a flexible schedule; may require different shifts and weekend work.
• Be able to lift >50 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Perform tasks on electronic devices such as tablets.
• Relationship-building with external customers and internal Amrize personnel.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Problem solving and decision making.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid sense of teamwork.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators; employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
