Position SummaryPilot –
Full‑Time
, Saskatoon base, Aviation Department. Pilot will be responsible for safely operating the STARS aircraft and ensuring the mission readiness of the flight crew. Pilot must be available to begin the AH145 training course on September 14, 2026.
- Safely and effectively pilot STARS aircraft.
- Maintain a Category 1 aviation medical.
- Maintain currency and proficiency with respect to aircraft flown, regulations, publications, training standards, and licensing requirements.
- A valid Commercial Rotary‑Wing Licence.
- A minimum of 500 hours of helicopter experience.
- 300 hours PIC.
- Multi‑Engine and Night/IFR experience desirable; candidates meeting Night/IFR ratings may qualify for financial support through the Pilot Pathways Program.
- Helicopter Airline Transport Licence exams completed.
- Group 4 Instrument rating.
- Valid Class 1 medical.
- Airbus H145 type rating considered an asset.
- Ability to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for Night Vision Goggle purposes.
- Immunization records with required vaccinations.
- Willingness to work a schedule of day and night shifts to support a 24/7/365 patient‑care mission.
- All STARS Pilot roles are physically demanding and require overall strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular capabilities.
- All Pilot roles have bona fide occupational requirements, e.g., physical standards, that are integral to fulfilling the role. These are detailed in the Pilot Physical Demands Analysis shared during the recruitment selection process.
- All Pilot roles are required to wear personal protective equipment.
This position is safety‑sensitive. Employment will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre‑employment alcohol and drug testing, a physical fitness assessment, audiometric testing, and proof of immunizations.
