Join First Student as an Experienced Driver Trainer in Saskatoon, where your expertise will help develop confident and safe school bus drivers. This part-time role focuses on training and mentoring within a supportive team environment.
We seek a safety-conscious Driver Trainer who can deliver effective classroom and on-road training to aspiring drivers. You will enhance the driver experience by coaching individuals in safe driving practices, ensuring compliance with regulations. Flexibility in availability is essential to meet training demands during peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive driver training, both classroom and practical
• Conduct refresher training for existing drivers as needed
• Manage the onboarding process for new driver candidates
• Track performance and maintain training records effectively
• Mentor drivers, emphasizing safety and professionalism
Requirements:
• Valid Class 2 driver’s license and endorsements
• 2+ years of relevant driving experience
• Clean driver abstract in the last 3 years
• Proven track record in mentoring and communication
• Dedicated to safety excellence and compliance measures
