Location: Martensville

Class 5 Driver

As a Class 5 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of metal materials between collection sites, recycling facilities, and customer locations using light‑duty trucks and company vehicles. This role is based out of Martensville, SK.

Work Environment

This is a Monday to Friday position, working from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with rotational Saturday shifts as required.

A Day in the Life
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and supplies between customer sites, collection locations, and recycling facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure transported materials are properly secured and comply with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and site personnel.
  • Assist with general yard and facility operations as required, including organizing materials, maintaining housekeeping standards, and supporting equipment operators.
  • Maintain accurate records related to deliveries, pickups, inspections, and other operational activities.
  • Be available to work a regular weekday schedule with occasional overtime as operational requirements dictate.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial or professional driving experience preferred.
  • Experience operating pickup trucks, cube vans, or other light‑duty commercial vehicles is considered an asset.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet schedules.
  • Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, loading, unloading, and conducting vehicle inspections.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, road conditions, and weather conditions while maintaining a strong safety focus.
  • Experience in the recycling, waste management, transportation, or industrial services industry is considered an asset.
