Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Line Manager role based in Satara. The Production Line Manager will oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring that manufacturing plans are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards for food and beverage products. Responsibilities include organizing and scheduling production runs, monitoring line performance, managing shift activities, and coordinating with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to minimize downtime.
The role involves supervising and guiding production staff, assigning tasks, tracking productivity, and promoting adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements. The Production Line Manager will also support continuous improvement initiatives, analyze production data, and recommend process enhancements to optimize capacity, reduce waste, and meet customer timelines.
Qualifications
Strong production planning and production management skills, with experience coordinating multiple lines or batches in a food or beverage environment.
Proven people management and team leadership abilities, including supervising frontline staff, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative and safe workplace.
Background in the food industry, ideally in food and beverage manufacturing, with familiarity in food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to analyze production metrics, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in manufacturing.
Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
Willingness to work on-site in Satara and manage shifts or extended hours when required by production schedules.
