• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle and Postgre
  
  SQL database software
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and indexes
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including backups, restores, and recovery procedures
• Manage database security, including user access, roles, and permissions
• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas and assist with query optimization

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on Oracle and Postgre
  
  SQL databases
• Proven expertise in Oracle database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, and performance tuning
• Demonstrable experience with Postgre
  
  SQL administration, including replication and performance tuning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities

• Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies and tools (e.g., RMAN for Oracle, / for Postgres)
• Solid understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, and database scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
