Key ResponsibilitiesThe operational readiness engineer supports the delivery of a facility and its supporting infrastructure, systems, and processes that are fully prepared for safe, efficient, and sustainable operations from day one. The role focuses on executing the operational readiness program in collaboration with engineering, supply chain, construction, commissioning, and operations and maintenance (O&M) teams.
Key Responsibilities Include- Execute and maintain elements of the Operational Readiness Plan, tracking progress against readiness gates and supporting readiness reviews.
- Support definition and population of asset hierarchies, criticality assessments, and metadata requirements; validate asset information within the Asset Information Model (AIM) and CMMS to ensure alignment with ISO 55001 standards.
- Work with maintenance and reliability teams to verify that maintainability requirements are incorporated into system designs and upload preventive and predictive maintenance tasks into CMMS.
- Coordinate spare parts and material identification, cataloguing, and storage, ensuring proper tagging and data entry with supply chain and warehouse teams.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and validating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and related job aids, and participate in procedure walk‑downs and validation exercises.
- Support rollout of operations and maintenance training programs, ensuring materials are current and aligned with plant systems, and participate in field‑based competency assessments.
- Conduct technical verification of asset data, engineering deliverables, and digital models prior to handover, confirming accuracy, completeness, and linkage to operational systems.
- Participate in performance testing, reliability runs, and early operations activities, capturing data, identifying deficiencies, and supporting corrective action to achieve readiness targets.
- Contribute to readiness reviews, risk assessments, and compliance verification activities, documenting findings and ensuring closeout before system handover.
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Relevant years of experience in commissioning on industrial/EPCM projects.
Proficient in operational readiness and asset management systems, including CMMS, AIM, APM
, and document control platforms. Familiar with ISO 55001 asset management principles and integrated project delivery tools used in readiness and commissioning workflows.
