Job Description:
Responsible for performing Functional Test Procedure (FTP), Pre & Post Flight inspection, and preparing built aircraft for test flight and delivery readiness. This includes operating, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting aircraft systems using approved aircraft data. Proficiently operate and understand a variety of test equipment and tooling. Must be able to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and engineering data to support tasks.
Complete assigned tasks within the allocated man hour budget and meet safety regulations, quality, and cost guidelines.
- Perform aircraft system FTP / Pre/Post flight Daily Inspection check list and prepare built aircraft for test flight readiness.
- Learn new tasks and techniques to troubleshoot aircraft systems and support flight line operations at Airbus FAL Mobile Flight line Organization.
- Perform level 1 troubleshooting procedures, report and document findings precisely in accordance with recommended instructions. Includes integrated systems testing, calibration, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair of airborne electronic flight control, navigational, and heading systems. Perform pre test, operational (functional) or final testing of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies; perform final tuning, alignment or calibration; troubleshoot to determine nature of malfunction and corrective action required.
- Perform post dock maintenance daily checklist, safety and security, incoming inspection.
- Perform day to day planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance tasks.
- Pre induction first flight configuration and incoming inspection of cabin interior, cockpit, electronic bays to ensure safety and security before first flight.
- Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
- Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers or voltmeters.
- Verify and upgrade to the latest version of aircraft avionics software.
- Work closely with the systems engineer to interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
- Maintain close working relationship with the assigned lead person regarding schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.

Qualified Experience and Training Required Education- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years relevant experience or 3 years experience with Applied Science in Avionics, A&P, or FCC license.
- 5 years minimum aviation experience, preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO environment.
Licensure/Certification s
- Ability to obtain a Repairmen Certificate.
- Valid Driver License.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport allowing unrestricted travel.
Licensure/Certification
- Valid A&P or FCC License.
- EASA/TCCA Regulations.
- 5% domestic and international travel.
- Authorized to work in the US.
Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, list omitted .

- Vision: able to see and utilize computer screens; able to move through office and from point to point to locate co workers and experts.
- Hearing: able to hear in normal conversations and respond to warnings and signals.
- Speaking: able to participate in normal business conversations.
- Equipment operation:
Able to operate standard office equipment, ground support equipment, and man lifts. - Carrying:
Able to carry up to 40 lbs/18 kg. - Lifting:
Able to lift up to 40 lbs/18 kg on occasion. - Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull up to 500 lbs on wheels.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel.
- Standing: able to stand for long periods of time.
- Travel: able to travel domestically and/or internationally for training purposes and off site aircraft recovery.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, sometimes on uneven surfaces.
- Climate: able to work in various weather conditions.
