Job Title

Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineering A320 Final Phase - Airbus Americas, Inc., Mobile, AL (On-site).

As part of the ME TSFS Leadership team, the incumbent will coordinate all activities related to ME TSFS team functions within their designated business area. The role supports production needs and escalation requirements, serves as a subject matter expert, and trains and develops new team members.

• Task and Team Management (50%)
  • Manage the ME Technical Shop Floor Support team within the business area.
  • Manage non conformities and concessions; ensure FAL work orders release per milestones.
  • Provide technical support to production and the escalation process.
  • Manage availability of parts, jigs, and tools required for work.
  • Drive continuous improvement measures with quality on recurrent non conformities.
  • Analyze status, create reports, and inform the manufacturing engineering back office of changes.
  • Oversee training and development of team members; set goals, objectives, and conduct annual reviews.
  • Monitor KPI achievement (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
  • Facilitate and develop the ME TSFS team.
  • Accountable for the performance of the ME TSFS within the business area.
  • Participate in production meetings to manage urgent topics.
• Continuous Improvement (20%)
  • Implement continuous improvement measures for recurring non conformities in cooperation with quality.
  • Actively support ME activities in the FAL.
• Project Support (30%)
  • Create and update KPIs for team on assigned projects.
  • Communicate with European colleagues for guidance on repeat or complex issues.
  • Lead team and anticipate future projects supporting the FAL.
• Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a good relationship with the ME Process Engineering department.
  • Participate as a team member providing support to new colleagues and trainees.
  • Plan regular feedback loops with the Production Team.
  • Serve as the on site subject matter expert for Manufacturing Engineering TSFS processes.
  • Operate in accordance with the Airbus Operating System.
  • Actively participate in FAL projects.
  • Prioritize team tasks.
  • Develop, improve, and track KPIs for the team.
  • Organize on the job training for the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., vacation planner, SQCDP/PPC participation).

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Leadership experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the aerospace industry (preferred).
• High flexibility and initiative.
• Ability to influence, coordinate projects, and lead teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, tools, and methods.
• Knowledge of supply chain and quality system management.
• Understanding of non conformities and design query notes.
• Strong relationship building skills with internal customers.
• Ability to work in an international team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to present clear briefings and reports to customers and executives.

• Airbus mechanical processes & methods.
• Airbus IT tools (Zamiz, TAKSY, Doc Master, ECM).
• SAP/R3 (PP/PM modules).

• Squatting/kneeling for low shelving retrieval.
• Travel: able to travel independently on short notice, possibly internationally.
• Personal protective equipment required (Safety Shoes, Glasses, Hearing protection, Respirators/Masks, Gloves, Steel-toed shoes for factory visits).
