Aircraft Maintenance Technician

BAE Systems, acting as the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor, provides equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. This role involves performing scheduled inspections, maintenance, and unscheduled rectification of Aircraft Equipment and related components for PC9 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations. The technician will obtain and maintain certifications required for production inspections and specialty cross‑utilisation training (CUT) qualifications, and will provide on‑the‑job training (OJT) for junior staff.

• Carry out flight line servicing, scheduled and fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, and inspections of aircraft systems and components within the AMT specialty at the intermediate/organisational level.
• Support the RSAF pilot training programmes by maintaining operational aircraft readiness.
• Interpret maintenance requirements and determine corrective actions for aircraft systems and components, including usage of support equipment.
• Acquire and apply expertise in the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer systems – AUTO LOG, MIRO Gold.
• Ensure compliance with RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.
• Use and control required tooling and equipment, and apply sound safety and hazard analysis practices.

• National civilian/military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship/apprenticeship.
• Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment specific training if required; or extensive post‑qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment.
• Successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft maintenance and engineering, including human factors, error management, health & safety, and proactive hazard analysis.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Q‑Pulse, DMS, RSAF 4‑1‑7166 series publications, and M&CA processes preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mixed workforce.
