Location: Al Qaţīf
Power Pack Oil & Gas Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a Saudi Arabia project involving the installation, inspection, and restoration of Desalter Vessel Internals
. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising field activities, ensuring compliance with site safety requirements, and overseeing the successful execution of installation and restoration works A minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in oil and gas projects is required.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in oil & gas facilities, vessel internals, shutdown/turnaround activities, and confined space operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the installation, inspection, and restoration of desalter vessel internals.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and HSE requirements.
- Oversee vessel entry activities and ensure compliance with confined space entry procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Review engineering drawings, inspection reports, and work procedures prior to execution.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation progress to ensure adherence to schedule and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with project management teams, contractors, inspection personnel, and client representatives.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to vessel internals and associated mechanical systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings before commencing work activities.
- Prepare daily progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
- Ensure restoration activities are completed according to project requirements and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in the installation, inspection, and restoration of desalter vessel internals.
- Strong understanding of vessel entry requirements, confined space operations, and site safety procedures.
- Experience supervising installation, maintenance, turnaround, or shutdown activities.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous GCC project experience is an advantage.
