• Setting up or repairing computer hardware and other associated devices such as printers and scanners.
• Paying close attention to the user's description of their computer problem and asking questions to identify the problem and determine how to solve it.
• Training users on how the use of new hardware or software.
• Testing and evaluating the organization's computer network.
• Troubleshooting network problems and individual user hardware or software problems.
• Installs and maintains computer networks for both hardware and software.
• Configures new systems.
• Updates software packages.
• Creates and maintains computer networks.
• Diagnoses and resolves IT issues.
• Diagnose hardware and operating system problems and repair.
• Clean computer equipment and peripherals.
• Install and reinstall software for proper operation in the instruction process.
• Identify and correct network problems with local area networks and assist network manager with wide area networks.
• Help set up computer labs with proper configuration.
• Consults and works with other district technology personnel.
• Configure and set up printers, projection devices, and other computer peripherals to work effectively for various instructional purposes.
• Assists Director of Technology with maintenance of the district computer equipment inventory.
• Pick up and deliver computer equipment between buildings and the Network Office.
• Conduct an organized system of receiving repair orders, recording problems, and following through with repairs.
• Assist with other technology problems and equipment operations when possible.
• Maintain a computer services repair center with appropriate supplies and equipment.
• Provide emergency assistance as required to maintain district technology services.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.

• Software and hardware expertise.
• Experience with LAN/WAN networks.
• Excellent trouble shooting skills.
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients, users, management and developers.
