Senior Manufacturing Engineer; Onsite

Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Foley, AL (Onsite)

U.S. citizenship required; no security clearance is required.

Responsibilities:

• Work cross‑functionally with stress, design, electrical, materials and process engineers to improve product design and maximize producibility.
• Implement process technology upgrades using robotics and automation.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) events across all business processes and levels of leadership.
• Support design and arrangement of tooling and machines for the manufacturing process layout in collaboration with the production team.
• Identify opportunities on drawings and specifications to influence design changes that improve manufacturing and producibility.
• Participate in tool design reviews to ensure feasibility and reduce build times and program costs.
• Use advanced data analytics to analyze First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets and improvements.
• Ensure sequence on manufacturing processes and product builds complies with EH&S and Quality requirements.
• Drive problem‑solving initiatives, challenge the status quo, and conduct Corrective Action Investigations.
• Work with Quality to contribute to PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Participate in digital manufacturing initiatives with support from Digital SMEs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting specifications, engineering drawings, and models.
• Experience adapting equipment or tooling design to factory and production conditions.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement tools.
• Experience with CAD design software.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience in robotics and automation.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Red X ACE, or CORE.
• Experience with CATIA or other CAD systems.
• Experience with 3D printing.
• Experience in a manufacturing shop environment.
• Understanding of project management methods.

Salary Range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
