Role

Purpose:

This role is responsible for performing routine inventory counting activities within ASMO operational sites or yards to ensure inventory accuracy, material traceability, and alignment between physical stock and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) / ERP Records. The role supports inventory control, operational efficiency, and compliance with oil & gas material handling standards, particularly for OCTG, line pipes, and related pipe yard materials.

The role is based at CPY site (Abqaiq Central Pipe Yard), a high-volume operational environment involving heavy pipe handling activities, large-scale logistics movement, and intensive material handling operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts for warehouse and/or pipe yard inventory.
  • Verify physical quantities, material descriptions, length, etc.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and support root cause investigations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and logistics teams to resolve inventory variances.
  • Ensure accurate material identification and traceability of OCTG and pipe materials.
  • Update inventory records and count results in WMS/ERP systems.
  • Support inventory reconciliation and stock adjustment process.
  • Monitor material locations and ensure proper bin/location accuracy within yard.
  • Assist during annual physical inventory counts and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with ASMO policy & procedures, HSE requirements, and inventory control standards.
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly stored materials to the Inventory Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and counting records.
  • Support continues improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and warehouse operations governance.
Knowledge &

Experience:
  • Grade 2:
    Diploma qualification in degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in a similar role or in warehouse or inventory operations, preferably in oil & gas or pipe yard environment.
  • Experience handling OCTG, line pipes, or industrial materials is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting methodologies.
