Job Overview
As a Retail Merchandiser, you will independently showcase your organization and time‑management skills while building relationships with retailers. You’ll represent Hallmark, collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed across a variety of retail formats.
Salary and Schedule- Starting pay: $16.25 – $16.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Weekly hours: 8–10 hours.
- Required availability during major holidays, including weekends.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a Hallmark‑provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products. Communicate with supervisors, report hours, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. - Holiday support:
During peak seasons (Valentine’s, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) you may work additional days, extended hours, and even on the holiday itself. - Department resets:
Assist in installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Advance notice of at least two weeks is provided; assignments may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Work as part of Hallmark’s field organization, supporting other merchandisers when needed.
You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You should also be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday and climb stairs or step ladders as required.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum age 18.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital hand‑held device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Reliable Wi‑Fi network and internet access.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
Part‑time employees with fewer than 30 hours per week are eligible for voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
