Overview

Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the construction/restoration industry, is hiring a Production Manager for a growing, full-service disaster restoration company located in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The Production Manager will oversee field operations for the mitigation team, including scheduling, vendor oversight, site inspections, and ensuring timely job completion. The company is beginning catastrophe work, which presents additional income opportunities, and the role includes helping train technicians to ensure consistent quality and team development.

  • Base salary: $60,000 (DOE) + potential for Bonus Structure

The Production Manager is responsible for managing all field operations for the mitigation team, including scheduling, overseeing vendors, site inspections, and ensuring timely job completion. The role involves coordinating with clients and insurance adjusters, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects stay on schedule within a 60-mile service radius.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day field operations for water, fire, and mold restoration projects
  • Lead and schedule mitigation teams and subcontractors
  • Conduct site inspections and provide job updates to clients and adjusters
  • Maintain accurate job schedules and ensure timely project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Communicate with customers, insurance carriers, and team members
  • Maintain job documentation and coordinate material and equipment needs
  • Participate in on-call rotation for nights and weekends
  • Help train and support field technicians
  • Attend company meetings and training sessions as required
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in the restoration industry (water, fire, mold)
  • WRT Certification (can be obtained after employment if not current)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed
  • Background check required
