Direct Care Workers (DCWs) provide essential assistance and support to clients who need help with daily tasks.

• Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, toileting, shaving, dressing, and personal hygiene.

• Companionship Services: Accompanying clients to grocery stores, doctor’s appointments, and social activities.

• Light Housework: Performing tasks such as dishes, laundry, and vacuuming.

Before an applicant can be scheduled to work, the following must be submitted:

• CPR Certification (completed within the last two years)

• Physical Examination (completed within the last year)

• Two-Step TB Test (completed within the last year)

Please note:

Independence Care will conduct a criminal background check.
