Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant: Hospital Medicine ICU capability - Sault Ste. Marie

Overview

My Michigan Medical Center Sault has a unique opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the My Michigan Hospital Medicine/Critical Care team in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. A strong focus of this inpatient role will be patient admissions management and complex medical care management with collaboration from remote ICU intensivists. This position is 7 on 7 off from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Candidates with inpatient experience are highly preferred.

This APP must be able to handle high patient volumes and possess great communication and clinical skills. APPs will work in conjunction with hospitalist physicians. There is a robust onboarding and training program as well as a formal mentorship program.

This position will require preforming procedures such as paras, thoras, TDC, chest tubes, lines, and medports.

• AHA approved BLS certification
• Active State of Michigan license or eligible to apply

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience preferred.
