Position: Full-Time Accounts Payable Clerk Role
Location: Sault Ste. Marie

Join BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION as a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk, where you will ensure timely and accurate processing of payments. Your expertise will support vital community services within Nogdawindamin.

In this role, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the daily procure-to-pay process while adhering to legislative guidelines. Ideal candidates will possess two years of accounting experience with Sage Accpac Software and a diploma in a related field. An appreciation for Anishnawbek culture and traditions is critical as you will work toward the Agency’s overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate processing of payments both internally and externally

• Administer the procure-to-pay process daily

• Assist in managing the Agency's general ledger

• Maintain compliance with financial regulations

• Work collaboratively to support agency objectives

Requirements:

• Completed Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration

• Minimum two years’ experience in accounting

• Experience with Sage Accpac Software required

• Sensitivity towards Anishnawbek culture is necessary

• Hold a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence
