Club Operations Coordinator

Position Type: Part-Time, 6-month contract with opportunity for extension and growth into a full-time role.

Hours: Approx. 30 hours per week.

Wage: Approx. $30/hour based on qualifications.

Start Date: Mid-September 2026.

Closing Date: July 10, 2026.

About

The Role

The Blind River Curling Club is seeking an energetic, reliable, and community-minded individual to support day-to-day operations and growth of our club. This dynamic position involves balancing hospitality, operations, event coordination, and facility work, with potential for expanded responsibilities and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • General business and facility maintenance.
  • Managing and operating the club bar and staff schedule.
  • Ensuring bar and club inventory is maintained and organized.
  • Event setup, coordination support, and post-event cleanup.
  • Seasonal decorating.
  • Membership management and member communications.
  • Assisting with event scheduling, planning, and coordination.
  • Ice maintenance duties (training provided).
  • Supporting overall club operations to ensure a welcoming member experience.
Qualifications
  • Smart Serve Certification is required.
  • Additional compensation may be considered for candidates with Quick Books/accounting experience or relevant professional qualifications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Clean criminal record check required.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and event-based hours as required.
  • Comfort with physical tasks including setup, cleanup, and ice/facility duties.
  • Experience in hospitality, event coordination, recreation, or facility operations is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the sport of curling is an asset.
Training Provided
  • Ice maintenance duties.
  • Club systems and membership management processes.
  • Operational procedures specific to the Blind River Curling Club.
