Overview
Become a Materials Testing Lab Technician with TULLOCH in Sault Ste. Marie. Engage in diverse laboratory testing for soils, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete using advanced equipment. This current contract position requires expertise in lab testing and fieldwork. You will carry out various tasks, including testing asphalt and concrete, equipment calibration, and compaction testing.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct lab testing for soils, asphalt, and concrete
- Perform equipment calibrations regularly for accuracy
- Monitor soil placement and compaction testing
- Identify and classify soil types from samples
- Prepare detailed field and lab test reports
- College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or 5+ years' experience
- Minimum 2 years in a materials testing lab setting
- CCIL certification in relevant testing (an asset)
- Robust skills in data interpretation and report writing
- Valid Class G driver s licence
