Role Summary We are seeking an Operational Reliability Project Engineer who thrives in complex environments. The successful candidate will cut through bureaucracy, extract clarity where information is fragmented, and confidently manage difficult relationships to keep projects moving forward. They will take full ownership of delivery across cost, schedule, scope, quality, and HSE requirements, demonstrating the ability to see initiatives through to completion despite changing priorities and with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will manage a focused portfolio of reliability improvement projects (projects are in various stages, ranging from concept/framing through to implementation), ensuring alignment with program goals and delivering measurable improvements in asset performance, risk reduction, and maintenance strategy. The role is heavily centred on identifying, prioritizing, and executing reliability‑driven initiatives in collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering stakeholders.
Additional non‑routine maintenance projects will be assigned as required and will include typical engineering and execution tasks such as equipment selection, work planning, commissioning, drawing revisions, and maintenance plan development.
Qualifications Engineering degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical or electrical
P. Eng designation (PEO required)
Five years of experience in a similar role with focus on projects/reliability/process management
Experience in a processing/refining environment and brown field projects
Familiarity with ASME & ASTM codes for piping/pressure vessels
Advanced computer skills
Proficient with AutoCAD — Creation and Editing of drawings — P&IDs, Single Line Electrical
Prior experience with SAP
