Position: Materials Testing Technician - Mining Role
Location: Sault Ste. Marie

TULLOCH is seeking a Materials Testing Lab Technician in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, for a short-term contract. Engage in hands-on materials testing and civil engineering support.

This role reports to the Project Manager and involves inspecting materials, conducting soil tests, and performing lab analyses. You will support civil construction inspections, ensuring compliance with engineering standards while showcasing your skills in a dynamic mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site materials testing and soil sampling

• Execute lab tests on soils and concrete according to standards

• Conduct civil construction inspections for quality control

• Manage material quantity control efficiently

• Utilize a nuclear densometer for compaction testing

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering diploma or 5+ years of related experience

• Strong results-oriented approach to tasks

• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

• Valid Class G driver's license

• Commitment to workplace health and safety
