Position: Contract Materials Testing Lab Technician
Location: Sault Ste. Marie

Join TULLOCH as a Materials Testing Lab Technician focusing on mining in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. This 3-month contract emphasizes lab and field testing.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll undertake soil sampling and materials testing while collaborating closely with civil construction teams. This role requires independent judgment and a commitment to safety as you work outdoors in various conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct onsite materials testing and data collection

• Perform laboratory tests on concrete and soil

• Oversee civil inspections ensuring compliance to specifications

• Maintain control over material quantities

• Execute granular material compaction tests

Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil or Mining Engineering or 5+ years experience

• High motivation and strong organizational skills

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities

• Valid Class G driver's license

• Full Basic Underground Common Core considered an asset
