Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse

Location: Sault Ste. Marie

This role focuses on delivering direct care and clinical support related to wound, ostomy, and continence management. You will be involved in educating nursing teams and fostering relationships with patients and families. With an emphasis on evidence-based practice, your responsibilities will enhance patient outcomes and community health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care for wound and continence issues

• Educate healthcare team members on best care practices

• Consult and support nursing staff with specialty recommendations

• Engage in clinical leadership activities and innovations

• Collaborate across care teams for patient benefit

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with Wound, Ostomy & Continence certification

• At least 2 years of nursing experience

• Experience with International Interprofessional Wound Care Course

• Membership in nursing specialty associations preferred

• Strong commitment to evidence-based clinical practices
