Cultural Services Helper at Nogdawindamin

Location: Sault Ste. Marie

Join Nogdawindamin Family and Community Services as a K’Chitwa Kwe/Shkaabewis (Helper). Support the enhancement of cultural services within the Anishinaabe community and provide direct assistance.

Located in BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, this full-time contract role extends to March 31, 2027. You will assist the Anishinaabe Aadziwin Supervisor while engaging with cultural services critical to the community. Ideal candidates will have a college diploma in Social Services or Native Studies and three years of experience in social services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with cultural service practices for the agency

• Support the development of community-related programs

• Engage with members to promote Anishinabek traditions

• Provide direct and indirect cultural services as required

• Help enhance the agency's cultural service delivery

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Services or Native Studies

• Three years' experience in social services

• Knowledge of Anishnawbek culture and traditions

• Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver's Licence

• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check
