The Systems Administrator 2 is responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure through a combination of systems administration and hands-on data center operations. This roles requires experience with physical hardware installations, structured cabling, site surveys, and server deployment activities, along with foundational Windows and/or Linux administration skills. The ideal candidate is a technically proficient professional who enjoys both infrastructure planning and hands-on implementation in mission critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise server and network infrastructure.
- Perform rack-and-stack activities for servers, network equipment, and related hardware.
- Execute and support structured cabling projects, including cable installations, labeling, testing, and documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and validate Cable Run Lists (CRLs).
- Conduct site surveys to assess infrastructure requirements, identify risks, and support implementation planning.
- Support day-to-day systems administration activities within Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Assist with equipment relocations, workstation moves, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, cabling layouts, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, network, security, and operations teams to support infrastructure projects and operational initiatives.
- Follow established processes and best practices for system installation, maintenance, and change management.
