Software Engineer, Backend Mission Services; Prime

At Intelliforce, we build backend services that help analysts get a complete, reliable view of mission data. In this role, you will support the prime program, a backend platform designed to provide compliant storage and access for analytic results while exposing APIs that support broader enterprise outcomes.

You will work on the design, development, maintenance, and operation of secure backend services that integrate with analytic systems and presentation tools across the enterprise. Your work will sit at the center of Java development, microservices, APIs, containerized environments, data access, and production operations.

This role gives you the chance to work on a backend platform that directly supports how analytic results are stored, accessed, and shared across the mission environment.

You will build and sustain Java and Spring microservices, work in Kubernetes-based environments, support production monitoring, and help maintain the APIs that connect ANSWER LAKE with other analytic and presentation systems. The environment also gives you exposure to CI/CD, data indexing, NiFi-based ingestion, and cloud infrastructure.

• Design, develop, maintain, and operate backend capabilities
• Develop Java and Spring microservices
• Build and maintain APIs that support integration with analytic systems and presentation tools
• Support compliant storage and access for analytic results
• Work within Linux-based development and operational environments
• Build and support containerized applications using Docker and containerd
• Deploy and sustain services in Kubernetes environments
• Monitor application and platform health using Grafana and Prometheus
• Use Git for source control, collaboration, and code management
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and platform issues
• Support production reliability and ongoing system sustainment
• Collaborate with engineers across software, platform, data, and mission disciplines
• Maintain technical documentation and support Agile development activities
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment improvements as the platform evolves

• Experience developing and supporting backend software in mission or enterprise environments
• Experience working collaboratively on multidisciplinary technical teams
• Ability to work effectively in a secure, on-site mission environment
