Staff Accountant

Our client, a privately held real estate investment firm headquartered in Savannah, GA, is hiring a Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. With multiple offices across the Southeast, they continue to be a strong leader in the industry and pride themselves on a collaborative, close-knit culture.

This role will report directly to the Controller while also working closely with the CFO, offering outstanding visibility and hands‑on experience across the organization. The office has a laid‑back, team‑oriented environment where employees support one another and enjoy coming to work each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end close and preparation of financial statements
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable for assigned assets
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Prepare loan reporting and related schedules
• Assist with special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc analyses as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Open to hiring recent accounting graduates or candidates with several years of experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Solid communication skills and a proactive mindset
