The Tax Associate is responsible for preparing stand-alone business tax returns, financial statement-related tax returns, individual tax returns, and conducting light tax research. The role involves supporting the Firm’s goals and maintaining positive professional relationships.

• Familiarize with the Firm’s policies, procedures, manuals, forms, and relevant software.
• Prepare tax returns (business and personal) as assigned.
• Prepare trial balances, adjusting journal entries, tax accruals, and stand-alone tax returns.
• Maintain property and equipment records, including depreciation and amortization calculations.
• Reconcile account schedules as requested.
• Conduct light research projects in taxation, including payroll and sales tax.
• Communicate with clients to gather information or clarify issues.
• Monitor engagement budgets and collaborate with supervisors to stay within them.
• Develop an understanding of client care and service.

• Set and pursue personal priority goals.
• Participate in community involvement.
• Enhance skills in sales, writing, communication, and interpersonal relations.
• Understand the economics of the tax business and its relation to the Firm.
• Support departmental goals and policies.
• Support CPA certification efforts by preparing for exams.
• Participate in administrative activities as requested.

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
