Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a family-owned real estate and property management company in Savannah, Georgia. This Contract position will provide maternity leave coverage for approximately two months and is expected to be part-time, averaging 20-25 hours per week with some in-office presence required. The person in this role will help keep financial activity organized across multiple properties while ensuring timely processing of payments, payroll, and distributions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily bookkeeping activities for multiple property-related bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

- Review, code, and process invoices and vendor payments in a timely manner.

- Coordinate payroll processing through the company's designated payroll platform and confirm accuracy before submission.

- Prepare and issue investor distributions according to established schedules and reporting needs.

- Reconcile bank activity regularly to ensure balances, transactions, and supporting records are aligned.

- Work closely with the external bookkeeping provider that handles accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Assist with financial tracking and documentation for real estate and management operations.

- Support the team on a part-time basis with reliable in-office collaboration a few days each week. Requirements - Experience performing bookkeeping duties in a detail-focused business environment.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence working in accounting software systems.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

- Familiarity with Yardi Breeze or similar property management accounting platforms.

- Ability to manage multiple accounts with strong accuracy and attention to detail.

- Comfortable handling payroll-related tasks and payment processing responsibilities.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a part-time, contract assignment.
