VP of Business Development - Warehousing
Job Type: Full-time;
Remote Responsibilities:
  • Develop a business development strategy, identify and maintain a pipeline of potential customers, and drive business sales.
  • Develop proposals, negotiate, and close business deals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Business Intelligence, Warehousing and Transportation leadership and other stakeholders to support business development strategy.
  • Contact potential customers to establish a business relationship and meet with them.
  • Generate new business opportunities through market research and analysis.
  • Develop a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Research and analyze the business environments, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new services, pricing, and business models.
  • Train junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations.
  • This position will have one or more direct reports.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a similar field.
  • 8+ years of sales experience in a 3PL environment or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency using CRM software and Microsoft Suite programs, experience using a WMS a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to meet goals and set priorities.
  • Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule; work at the specific location required.
