Asphalt Milling Foreman

CWM has an immediate opening for "Experienced"
Asphalt Milling Foremen for construction projects in the Savannah, GA market. As a Milling Foreman, you’ll play an important role in the success of our milling operations. Working closely alongside your fellow team members on a variety of projects, your day-to-day work will include supervising and mentoring employees, planning work for multiple weeks out, reading plans, and being proficient in all aspects of the job.

• Provides direction, training and assistance to the milling crew.
• Tours job sites to ascertain progress in meeting time schedules, to detect insufficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Measures slope and depths to verify compliance with contracts and to supervise the job.
• Communicate daily with Project Superintendent to discuss schedule and production needs.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew performance.
• Maintains time and materials records necessary to complete daily job cost.
• Ensures the safety of crew members and the public who may interact with job.

This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Milling Foreman. Must be able to understand directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. Three (3) to Five (5) years or more of industry related experience is preferred for this position, with an emphasis on milling operations. GDOT or SCDOT experience is preferred.

The above-listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping, and bending. It requires an employee to climb a ladder when accessing equipment.
