Responsibilities- Plan and supervise construction activities, determining methods, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedules.
- Train and manage field staff, and oversee day‑to‑day construction operations through assigned foremen.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager, monitor critical path dates, and review milestone schedules.
- Communicate site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner.
- Resolve field construction problems and maintain open communication among all subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and inspections.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with the project safety program, ensure weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks, and enforce corrective measures.
- Assist the Safety Department with incident investigations and follow‑ups.
- Understand subcontractor scopes, ensure schedules and quality standards meet contract requirements, and manage disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination.
- Verify work compliance with drawings and specifications, support claim negotiations, and provide input to the Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts.
- Review change orders and perform project close‑out, ensuring punch lists are completed promptly.
- Mentor Project Associates assigned to the project.
- Minimum of three years’ experience on construction projects in a Healthcare Foreman or higher-level role.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to supervise small to midsized groups.
- Strong organization, multi‑tasking, leadership, and decision‑making abilities.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
