WTOC is looking for its next great visual storyteller! We need a self‑motivated, excellent communicator and videographer who can work independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up and executing live shots per shift, observing and relaying information to the newsroom, and other duties as assigned.
Training will be provided on all duties. The position requires an eye for news and creativity to tell stories through the lens of a camera.
- Gather video and sound for stories
- Shoot daily live shots
- Edit stories for television and web
- Contribute to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, story construction, and presentation
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, TV production, or related field – equivalent experience considered
- Non‑linear editing experience preferred but not required
- Proven ability to post content on social media platforms
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Flexible schedule with on‑call assignments
- MVR check in pre‑employment
- Entry‑level job or open to someone with more experience behind a camera
