Customer Service Agent – GAT Airline Ground Support

As a customer service agent, you are the first impression of a passenger's airport experience. You will check in and ticket passengers, escort them to and from aircraft, and resolve customer complaints. This role requires proficiency with computer systems, excellent customer assistance, and a positive, professional image. You must work in a fast‑paced environment within time constraints to meet published departure goals.

• Greet and assist all customers promptly, friendly, and courteously over the phone and in person.
• Announce both incoming and outgoing flights.
• Handle credit card and personal check transactions accurately, accounting for all collections and performing airline close‑out procedures.
• Accept and process checked baggage up to 100 lbs. and place it on conveyors.
• Operate jetways, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors before and after arrival.
• Use airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing, boarding documents, baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information.
• Stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time.
• Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
• Work independently without direct supervision.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality on the phone and in person.
• Entry‑level computer skills.
• Occasional lifting of bags or items weighing 50–70 pounds.
• Pass a comprehensive pre‑employment background check (including fingerprinting and federal criminal history check).
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
