Summary
The BSA Procurement Assistant Manager is responsible for sourcing potential suppliers, deciding on new item suppliers, negotiating part prices, and coordinating the parts suppliers for the Battery System Assembly team.
RoleManagement for BSA sub‑parts (Extrusion / Brazing)
- Supplier selection
- Subparts cost management
- Sub-part supply and demand operation management
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal and external customers, including Sales Managers, to ensure on‑time results.
- Review legal documentation such as RFQs, LOIs, and terms and conditions, and develop documentation according to Mobis policy.
- Review supplier requirements, release quotations, and perform quotation analysis.
- Perform part characteristic analysis and risk analysis, and create procurement policies.
- Research and secure potential suppliers.
- Perform cost analysis for parts, tooling, and other supplier expenses; negotiate prices with suppliers.
- Create a detailed price breakdown for each product by analyzing the piece price and breaking the price into categories (e.g., material, labor, burden).
- Negotiate supply agreements and cost models with key suppliers, ensuring pricing and lead time information is updated.
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned.

Basic QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
- Assistant Manager experience (5+ years)
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
- Engineering or Supply Chain Management degree
- 10+/7+/5+ years of procurement experience in the e‑powertrain manufacturing/automotive industry
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Communication skills:
Intermediate (ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English) - Strong analytical and technical skills
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with drawing interpretation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Preferred Education & Experience
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing environment
- Experience in die‑casting, lamination press, forging, and PCB assembly processes
- Ability to understand 2D/3D drawings and knowledge of design tools
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP)

- Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
- Overtime as needed.
- Frequent travel with possible overnight or extended stays.
- Working in all development work groups if needed.
