This position will participate in research and provide clinical care in Anesthesiology. It does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

• Clinical - 90%
  • Providing anesthesia care to relevant patient population.
  • Completion of all anesthesia related charting including:
  • Attesting to procedures
  • Completing/Signing all preoperative and postoperative notes in a timely manner
  • Signing and closing all encounters
• Academic - 5%
  • Teaching residents (clinical supervision, didactics, mentoring).
  • Teaching medical students (clinical supervision and didactics).
• Research - 5%
  • Quality improvement.
  • Anesthesia related case studies and reports.

• MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent with ECFMG certificate, current Georgia medical license, board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology.
• Assistant Professor - early career faculty member with appropriate postgraduate training.
• Consistent with SACSCOC accreditation requirements.
• Evidence of ability as a teacher.
• Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in other duties.
• Successful experience (waived for those just entering the profession meeting other requirements).
• Desirable personal qualities judged on interview, biographical data, and recommendations.

Fiscal year based and works year-round. Full-time FTE 1.0. Salary commensurate with education, experience, achievements; subject to availability of funds.
