Program Instructor with KSU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute develops and leads non‑credit courses that are designed for adults over fifty (50) looking for an opportunity to learn in an engaging environment. Non‑credit courses range from academic subjects, skills and/or activities.
ResponsibilitiesEducational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Required Experience
- Two (2) years of instructional experience relevant to the program content and experience with classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication and facilitation techniques.
Abilities
- Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
- Strong attention to detail and follow‑up skills
- Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette
- This is not a supervisory position.
- This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
- This position will not be required to drive.
- This role is considered a position of trust.
- This position does not require a purchasing card (P‑Card).
- This position may travel 1% – 24% of the time.
