Job Overview
Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking an Instructional Designer to develop engaging training content and curriculum for staff and community workshops using established instructional design principles.
CompensationBase pay range: $55,000.00/yr – $65,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and update training content and curriculum for staff and community workshops.
- Apply instructional design models and adult learning principles to create effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment of course materials.
- Develop multimedia learning assets including e-learning modules, videos, and interactive resources.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback and assessment data.
- Revise and enhance training materials to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain an organized and accessible library of training resources.
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Stay informed on industry trends, tools, and best practices in instructional design.
- Support virtual and in-person learning initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or specialized certifications in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience designing training content and curriculum.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and multimedia design platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of digital tools and training design software such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Canva, virtual collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
- Experience collaborating effectively with subject matter experts.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple training projects concurrently.
- Ability to evaluate and revise training materials based on feedback and outcomes.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
