Requirements:
- Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
Preferred:
Advanced degree(s) - Experience, Skill and Certification:
Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field Agriculture 6-12
Essential Duties – Teaching Tasks:

Virtual
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the virtual platform in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills
- Uses a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks
- Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction; participate in required professional learning that leads to virtual teaching endorsement
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner
General
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complies with school, district, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies
- Demonstrates professional practices in teaching
- Acts in a professional manner and assumes responsibility for the total school program, its safety and good order
- Performs other duties as required based on the specific content area taught (such as content-area competitions, after-hours activities, and so on)
- Follow professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues
- Interact in a professional manner with students and parents
- Be available to students and parents for conferences according to district policies
- Facilitate home‑school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications
- Maintain confidentiality of students and students’ records
- Work cooperatively with school administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents
- Conduct assigned classes at the times scheduled
- Enforce regulations concerning student conduct and discipline
- Be punctual
- Provide adequate information, plans, and materials for substitute teacher
- Maintain accurate, complete and appropriate records and files reports promptly
- Attend and participate in faculty meeting and other assigned meetings and activities according to school policy
- Comply with conditions as stated in the contract of employment
- Model correct use of language, oral and written
- Demonstrate accurate and up‑to‑date knowledge of content
- Implement designated curriculum
- Maintain lesson plans as required by school policy
- Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students
- Takes precautions to protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Assume responsibility for supervising students in out‑of‑class settings
- Plan and coordinate purposeful assignments for paraprofessionals, other supporting staff, and volunteers, and provide input to the administrative staff on the performance of these individuals
- Perform other duties as required by the district, the school, or student need
Terms of Employment: Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.
